Kayla Jang Park

Kayla Jang Park is a visual artist and graphic designer based in NYC
by way of Seoul, South Korea. She graduated from School of Visual Arts
with B.F.A.(honors). Kayla is currently an independent designer after
working at multiple design agencies and corporations including Pentagram,
IBM Brand & Experience Design Studio, Etsy, R/GA, Condé Nast, Firstborn,
and The New York Times. 
Her design focus touches everything from brand identity, environmental,
printed matter, and interactive design. She also creates abstract
expressions to explore the relationship between meaning and aesthetics
through various mediums and platforms.

Brand identity for the popular record label formerly known as
Universal Republic Records, the top-selling record company that
proudly represents artists such as Akon, Amy Winehouse Estate,
Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Taylor Swift.

Custom typeface designed for an artist collective.

Jazz at Lincoln Center

Brand identity revamped for the Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Each form of the alphabet was created using Neutraface as the source font.
The result is a new, and slightly heavier Jelly Roll, served fresh with filled
counters and rounded-square centers. The creative staff at JALC aptly named
the new font after legendary jazz pianist, Jelly Roll Morton.
